Alcantara is a unique, innovative, composite material that is increasingly being used to cover and upholster interior surfaces in prestige and performance cars. Alcantara combines a soft, enveloping quality with high wear resistance and incredible ease of maintenance, providing that appropriate cleaning methods and products are used. To preserve the beauty of Alcantara we recommend that you clean it regularly but avoid wetting it too deeply, scrubbing it too much or using high temperature steaming equipment. On a weekly basis, you should simply aim to dust all Alcantara surfaces down using a soft brush and/or a vacuum cleaner. Once or twice a year, you should clean all Alcantara surfaces more thoroughly, to remove bodily oils and embedded dirt and grime. On such occasions we recommend the use of Swissvax Alcanta, as it comprises a solvent-free, water-based cleaning solution that is designed to gently lift general soiling without any need for significant wetting of the surfaces being cleaned.
