The 2+1 bucket method
Customise YOUR perfect wash setup - build your own and accessorise it! If you haven't even heard of the 2 bucket method, boy are you in for a treat.
1 Oh what a difference a bucket makes
Let's get the 2 bucket method down.
Your wash mitt is designed to remove grit. To make sure you don't scratch your car with it, you need to rinse it regularly. This is where your 2nd bucket comes in: rinse your mitt to release the grit, then dunk in your shampoo and get back to washing. This keeps your wash bucket grit-free throughout the wash!
Stop using your household buckets to wash your car! You'll contaminate your wash and add scratches. It's time for the original car wash bucket system.
So, why do you need a top-quality bucket?
Long-lasting solid design, which can even take your weight and hold up to 19l of water.
Dirt can't hide behind the clear plastic, meaning you'll be able to monitor the dirt levels.
Customise it to streamline your wash process, like wheels, brush storage or a lid.
2 Customize your wash setup
Depending on where you wash.
The insert & washboard
Our #1 bucket is made by the bucket pioneers themselves: Grit Guard.
They invented the bucket insert & washboard that cleans your wash mitt, keeping grit away from your paintwork and trapped at the bottom of the bucket. The 19l bucket allows for plenty of space for this.
Mobilising
If you're washing on flat ground, try a bucket dolly, which allows you to easily move them without putting unnecessary strain on your back.
These are some high-quality wheels, they'll even take your weight if you use the bucket as a stool!
On-board storage
The best thing to happen to buckets since soapy water: the Buckanizer!
The Buckanizer fits perfectly onto our buckets. It's a real game changer that allows you to store all your mitts and brushes on the side of the bucket, staying clean and close by.
3 What's with the 3rd bucket?
With some extra tips.
3-bucket method
Wash & rinse buckets are for keeping grit away from your paintwork, the 3rd bucket is for wheels!
Wheels are a big bag of grit, grime & brake dust, so we separate them from our main wash.
Pour some wheel shampoo into your wheel bucket and just use that for your rims, tyres & wheel arches.
In-built seating
Sticker-up
Avoid mistakes by putting WASH, RINSE and WHEELS on your buckets with our own bucket stickers.
You don't need to check which bucket's which each time you rinse your mitt - and won't fall victim to plunging your mitt into your wheel bucket by accident and scratching your paintwork!
4 Choosing the setup for you
Starting with your buckets.
Want a less tiring wash? Cushioned lids, dollies and washboard will really help you out.
Limited clean storage? Add a Buckanizer or two to your setup.
Want your buckets to look awesome? Well, add those custom designed stickers to the setup!
